As this is an untraditionally hot and dry summer, and as our individuals are now slowly being allowed to go out secondary to the lift of the COVID-19 restrictions, many are taking drinks along with them.
Due to the extreme heat, these drinks are being made (with all good intention) by placing ice cubes in them to keep the liquid cold. However, the drinks that require to be thickened to nectar or honey and even pudding are now having their consistencies changed because of the melting ice.
We have enclosed a recipe to make the appropriate thickened ice cubes to be added to the individual’s drink so that in the event that the ice melts, it will melt to the consistency it was frozen to. This will prevent any changing of the designated consistency keeping our individuals safe.
